Dramatic Play is a great way to develop oral language skills, cooperation, content vocabulary and social skills in your early childhood classroom!
Use this packet to set up a Doctors Corner or Clinic in your learning space. It doesn’t need to cost a lot of money, in fact you probably have a lot of resources already around the classroom or home that you can use! You might even like to ask your students to help collect objects they can use!
In order to save you some time preparing signs, labels and printables for your imaginative play, I’ve created a bunch of wonderful printables ready to use in your Doctor role-play area!
Included in this packet:
x Open and closed signs
x Waiting Room sign
x Opening Hours sign
x ‘Your Doctor’ and ‘Your Doctors’ signs
x Eye Chart with Alphabet
x Long labels (such as medical records, medicine, doctors office and reception)
x Small labels (such as thermometers, stethoscopes, syringes, measuring cups)
x Medicine labels to attach to recycled bottles
x Job Tags (Doctor, Nurse, Receptionist, Pharmacist, Patient)
x 5 real x-ray photos (chest, foot, skull, pelvis, knee)
x Appointment book + printables for inside
x Patient Record labels for folders + ‘patient details’ printable

As you can see, there is a lot included!! You may choose to use all of the printables or you may select just a few. You might even like to encourage your Little Learners to help create additional items for your clinic depending on their age!
As your students play and imagine, they will be building fantastic content-specific vocabulary!
Please be sure to check out the preview images to see exactly what’s included.
Happy playful learning!
