I’m not sure about you, but I’m never sure of what to do with the giant container of plastic chain links I have in my room! In this activity, children match numbers 0-20 in different representations and link them together with chain links (or anything similar you might have). Each number is represented with a numeral, word, ten frame and tally marks. Numbers 0-10 are also represented with a dot pattern, with numbers 10-20 represented by tens blocks. (You can choose to use dots or tens blocks for the number 10, I’ve provided both cards.) For the ink-conscious, black & white pages have been provided for printing to coloured card.
Easy to prepare and lots of fun, your children are sure to love working with numbers in this fine motor activity!
