“This was an amazing addition to my number stations where children were engaged and didn’t want to stop playing!”
Use this number fishing game to reinforce the different ways numbers 0 to 10 can be represented – numeral, number word, tally marks and ten frames!
Print, cut and laminate the fish then add a paper clip to the end of each one. Place the fish into a tub or a blow up pool and have your little learners take turns to ‘catch’ a fish from the pond using a magnetic fishing rod.
As your children say the number each time they catch a fish, they can sort their fish to the matching number words, numerals, ten frames and tallies! You might like to place one type of fish in the pond (eg numerals) and have the children catch the fish then place them in ascending or descending order. To make it more difficult, add different types of fish!
Your download includes the following fonts:
- Primary Font – standard font for all young children
- All Australian State School Fonts – QLD Beginner’s Font, NSW Foundation Font, VIC Modern Cursive Font, SA Font and TAS Font.
Happy playful learning!
